A homemade vacuum cleaner is useful for the motorist, radio amateur and any other person to collect small debris. The basis of the device is a plastic container. Inside is an engine made of children’s toys. The simplest instruction will help you figure out how to make a vacuum cleaner out of a bottle with your own hands and get it to work.
The simplest model of the vacuum cleaner
For those who strongly do not like to tinker with homemade, offered the simplest version of the vacuum cleaner. In general terms, the device consists of a plastic bottle. There’s a hose on the neck to suck up the debris. Inside the tank to the bottom is a fixed motor with blades. There is a filter between the fan and the entrance hole.
The materials will require a pet bottle with a capacity of 1-1.5 litres, a piece of corrugated hose, copper wire, Capron stocking, batteries and a long-distance wire. The motor can be taken from a children’s toy, but they are usually weak. For the vacuum cleaner to suck up the debris well, it is better to dismantle the engine from a broken tape recorder or other electrical appliance.
The instructions for assembling a vacuum cleaner consist of the following steps:
Making a homemade start with the case. The bottle is taken from under the drink Sprite. The choice is due to the incorrect shape of the container, inside which it is more convenient to place parts. At the extension site, the bottle is cut with a sharp knife. You’ll get a lid from the top.
The second part of the bottle goes a little narrowing, and near the bottom is greatly expanded. From the place of cut, you need to cut off a not wide strip arbitrarily. The narrowed part will easily enter inside the lid.
The case is put aside and start making a fan. A sturdy and light propeller will come from a tin for beer or drinks. Scissors cut off the bottom and top. The resulting cylinder is cut along, unstained and levelled to make a rectangular piece of the stick.
On the blank of the compass, draw a circle. The propeller’s diameter and the inside of the bottle near the bottom should almost be the same. For the gap, leave 2-3 mm, so that the blades do not cling to the walls.

The scissors cut out the circle with the sticks. The blank is drawn in pencil, dividing into 8 identical triangles. On the lines, make incisions, not reaching the centre of 10 mm.
The cut segments bend at an angle. The blades should draw air when rotating, not push out. Which way to arch the petals depends on the direction of rotation of the shaft of the engine. Everything can be experienced experimentally. If the fan pushes out the air, the petals can easily be pushed in the opposite direction.
In the centre of the propeller, shill pierce a hole. The wing is planted on the motor’s shaft, fixed with a thermoglue or screw if there is a thread.
While the fan is working, the bottom of the bottle should be airlifted out. The holes burn with a soldering iron, drill or cut with a knife.
The back of the motor is placed in a plastic cork. The wires are removed from the side. The motor is glued to the cork or screwed with bolts if there are holes with thread on the body.
Using a hot gun, a plastic lid with a motor is glued to the inside of the bottom of the bottle. The engine is strictly centred. Try to scroll the fan so that the blades do not cling to the walls of the bottle.
A filter is made to protect the motor from dust. From the thick copper wire, the ring is arched by the diameter of the bottle. A piece of Capron stocking is pulled on the frame.
The filter is inserted inside the bottle in front of the motor. The ring should enter tightly. On both sides of the filter, the tank wall is pierced with stationery buttons. Limiters will prevent the ring from shifting. To prevent the buttons from falling out, the bottle’s area is wrapped with tape or tape.
On the neck of the second part of the bottle, put a suction hose. It can be made from a piece of plastic corrugation to lay electrical wiring. The connection of the hose with the neck is tightly wrapped with duct tape. Workers are made from any plastic tubes.

Making a complex cyclone
Assembling a cyclone is a little more difficult because of more parts. In addition to a flat bottle of juice, you will need disposable syringes, plastic jars, a motor and a DVD for the propeller.

From the bottom of the bottle retreat, 2-3 cm and the marker’s circle draw a line. Having retreated from the marking about 10 cm, another line is applied. A sharp knife cut the container to make the lower part with a bottom, neck and ring.
The diameter of the bottles picks up two plastic jars with lids. The top part with the carving is cut off by a knife on the metal.
The hot gun is warmed up before the rod begins to melt. You can’t overheat, so you don’t melt the bottle. Cut the thread from the jar glued to the cut of the top of the bottle with the neck.
From two disposable syringes with a volume of 20 ml pull pistons. The knife cut off the tops where the needle is put on. On one syringe saw off the back with handles.
A syringe with both sides cut off is applied with an end to the bottle’s side near the glued thread from the jar. The marker is marked and cut out the oval hole. The syringe is inserted at an angle from the inside of the bottle, mark the place of the cut serving part and saw off the extra piece. The resulting blank is glued with a hot pistol.
For the case of the compressor, take a ring cut off from the bottle. On one side, glue the second thread from the jar. To the other side, stick the lid threaded outwards.
In the centre of the glued lid, cut a hole, become the second syringe vertically and glue a hot gun.
In the centre of the second cover, cut a hole under the engine shaft. The electric motor is screwed with bolts. The shaft should go out of the lid from the side of the thread.
The DVD is split in two. To one-half stick sawed off part of the syringe with a ledge for the needle. It is a nest for planting the wings on the tree. The disk’s diameter is adjusted to the body of the compressor, cutting off the edges with scissors.
Rectangles are cut from the second half of the disk. It will be fan blades. The surface of the disk is marked into 8 equal segments. Strictly on the lines, superglue glued sliced rectangles.
The finished wing is planted on the shaft of the motor. The air vents are burned by the shell of the compressor.
For the dust collector, take a plastic round container. A hole is cut through the lid’s centre, on a plastic cork from the bottle cut off the top. The resulting clutch with thread is glued to the container’s lid, where the hole is cut.
All the details are ready. Now we need to collect a cyclone. To the top of the bottle with a neck twisted dust collector. On free carving, twist the compressor’s body, and on top, put a lid with a motor.
A hose is connected to the cyclone’s tube and try to put pressure on the motor. If the suction is weak, look for an air sucker on the threaded compounds. The problem is eliminated by installing pads or winding on the carving of FUM tape.
